Artsmanship Coloring Book: Aztec Warriors

My name is Brian Silver. I’ve been an artist my entire life, using every medium from paint with a paintbrush, spray paint, airbrush, sculpting, wood carving, a tattoo artist for almost 12 years of my life, you name it and I’ve probably gotten my hands messy with it.Unfortunately, a few years ago I started to shake. At first, it was small, and it started with my drawing hand. It was strange but manageable and sporadic. It took 3 and a half years before I was finally hit with a diagnosis—Parkinson’s Disease. With any progressive disease, things go from minimal to bad, bad to worse, and so on and so forth. During that period of just a few years, the shaking moved from my hand to my wrist and elbow, then through my arm and up to my shoulder, and eventually throughout my entire arm, essentially making it impossible to continue drawing or painting or have normal use of the arm. I didn’t take the use of my arm as anything for granted, but never realized until it was gone how important it is. Trying to draw a straight line these days resembles more of a heartbeat pattern as you’d see in an electrocardiograph reading. At this point, most days I feel the vibration mainly on the right side of my body, and sometimes, depending on the stress level, it consumes the vast majority of my body as a whole, including my face and legs. I’ve got the best medication you can get for Parkinson’s.Now I hope to share some inspiration to those searching for a reason and a purpose because despite what ever you are going through, there truly is a way when you have a will to pursue it. I hope Azetec Warriors inspire you to bring to life the light you have within. You are a warrior and you have to demonstrate it with honor and dignity. Don't let your circumstances define you.
